Every service event is signed by the shop or the owner who logged it, and completed work is frozen into a permanent record at check-out. The log is append-only at the database level — no part of the application can edit or delete it afterwards.

Register your bike
Frame ID, brand, model, year — via your local shop or directly. A shop registration is signed by that verified shop.
Log every service
Shops record tune-ups, repairs, replacements. You record self-service. It all stays in the bike's permanent, tamper-proof log.
Sell or buy with confidence
List on the marketplace with full service history attached. Anyone signed in can contact you — contacting a seller is always free. Ownership transfers by a one-time code addressed to a named recipient, valid for 15 minutes.
Flag if stolen
Mark a bike as stolen and attach the police reference. Any platform user can see the status. Custody rules prevent abuse.
Register and verify your business
Set up your catalogue, team and profile right away. Company-registry verification through our identity provider, plus a human check that you are a bicycle business, puts your shop on the map with a Verified badge — riders can find and book you from then on.

Your bike's history is only worth something if it can be trusted — and so can the account behind it.
Leave the app open and walk away, and it signs you out after a period of inactivity, with a short warning first. It works even if the computer went to sleep — made for a shop's shared tablet or front-desk PC.
Transferring a bike, clearing a stolen flag, changing your team or deleting your account all ask you to confirm your password first.
Change your password and end every other session from Settings in one click. Resetting a forgotten password signs out every device.
Signing out clears everything the app held in that browser, so whoever signs in next on the same device can't see your data — not even with the Back button.
Every login has a limited lifetime, so a session you forgot about doesn't stay open forever.
Dropping a bike off, picking it up and transferring ownership each need a short code that works only once and expires quickly.
The bike's log is append-only and every entry is tied to whoever made it. No part of the application can edit or delete an entry afterwards.
A shop is checked against the official company registry, and reviewed by a person, before riders can find and book it.
Personal data is encrypted at rest. In public you appear under a privacy ID — never your name or email.
Payments are handled entirely by our payment provider. BikeCheck never receives or stores your card details.

Your local shop has its own records of services they did for you. BikeCheck is platform-independent — your record stays with the bike across multiple shops, multiple owners, and even if a shop goes out of business. It's the bike's history, not the shop's.
The new owner becomes the active custodian of the record. They get full read access to the service history. You stop appearing as the current owner — but your contributions to the record (services logged while you owned it) are preserved. The record stores who did what as a reference to your account rather than a copy of your name, so if you later change your name or close your account, the history stays intact and your entries simply show a neutral label.
Premium rider subscriptions, extra bike slots and market stalls, business shop subscriptions, and voluntary donations. That's it — no ads, no data sales, no commissions on marketplace transactions. We're committed to being a transparent, independent platform.
A shop can only log work against a bike it actually had. Custody changes hands by a one-time code — the rider reveals a drop-off code the shop enters, and the shop reveals a pickup code the rider enters — so a service record exists only where a real handoff happened. Shops are registry-verified companies, and a confirmed stolen-bike case costs a shop reputation. The record is signed and append-only, so a false entry stays attached to whoever made it.
Right to access, export, and erasure are built in. All personal data is encrypted at rest. We collect the minimum necessary, and retain only what's legally required (7 years for billing records). Deleting your account schedules erasure after a 30-day grace window, which you can cancel at any point during it. You can review what we collect and why before signing up.
